Additionally, a treaty to protect the high seas, the EU's commitment to forest-friendly imports, a slowdown in Amazon deforestation, and the recognition of indigenous rights in Brazil mark notable achievements. Countries also agreed to launch a fund for climate change impacts, with the COP28 agreement featuring a historic goal to move away from fossil fuels.
